Amnicola Highway reopened after ammonia leak

    Amnicola Highway is experiencing major traffic issues this morning after an Ammonia leak was discovered at BASF Corporation, an official with the Chattanooga Fire Department said.

Amnicola Highway has been reopened after an Ammonia leak was discovered at BASF Corporation this morning.

The Chattanooga State campus will reopen at 9 a.m.

Chattanooga Police originally blocked off Amnicola Highway from Chattanooga State to Wisdom Street, according to an official.

Haz-Mat is on the scene and the area around BASF had been evacuated, according to an official.
