A 57-year-old man is in critical condition at Erlanger after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a car, authorities said.
Michael Borden was hit while riding on Highway 58 about 1:30 today, according to Chattanooga police spokesman Officer Nathan Hartwig.
Angela Gale-Rudd, 24, was traveling northbound in the 4800 block of the highway near Hardee’s when she swerved into the center turn lane to avoid stopped traffic and hit a car waiting to turn, Hartwig said. She then veered into southbound traffic on the other side of the highway and hit Borden, he said.
Charges may be pending based on the outcome of the crash reconstruction and blood tests taken from Rudd, Hartwig said.
