about Clay Bennett...

The son of a career army officer, Bennett led a nomadic life, attending ten different schools before graduating in 1980 from the University of North Alabama with degrees in Art and History. After brief stints as a staff artist at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Fayetteville (NC) Times, he went on to serve as the editorial cartoonist for the St. Petersburg Times (1981-1994) and The Christian Science Monitor (1997-2007), before joining the staff of the ...

This will not be an issue by 2016 just like a lot of Hillary's baggage. However they both have more mouth than a hog has lard and they will probably put their foot in that large mouth to the point neither are selected. Hillary is building a huge war chest, a wide network and will spend a record amount.

DAD BURN LIBERAL MEDIA

I’m not so sure Christy was EVER the front-runner for the republican nomination in 2016. Yes, he is a rare republican who was elected governor of a blue state, but is that really a big deal? The City of New York is also blue and has been electing republican mayors for two decades. I lived in NYC; New Yorkers vote for candidates irrespective of party affiliation. New Jersey is the same way.

Once upon a time the northeast liberal press was convinced Hillary Clinton would face former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani in the 2008 Presidential Race. But once Rudy came face to face with republican voters outside the five boroughs he quit. All you little tea baggers out there hate Christy the same way you hated Rudy.

Up north, candidates soft-sell the Bible and embrace science. Establishment republicans want to run candidates who will peel off conservative democrats and independent voters, while tea baggers continue to hold a political gun to the head of those seeking political office.

I was so looking forward to seeing how low Christy was willing to stoop, how many hoops he was willing to jump through before his pants split. Maybe we would have gotten the Jersey version of Romney’s magical mystery tour as a “severely conservative” former governor.

Some in the New York media believe Bridgegate is just another bump in the political road, but we still don’t WHY people in the governor’s office broke the law and endangered the general welfare.

The only way to understand Bridgegate is through the lens of partisan politics.

A traffic jam in New Jersey is certainly a good reason for the entire country to be upset and distracted from Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan. It also limits media time reporting on a 1.1 trillion budget plus millions of uninsured as a result of an initiative to provide healthcare insurance for everyone.

Some New Jersey folks had a long delay in a traffic jam caused by some Maverick members of the governors staff. Why should anyone really care?

I wonder if the traffic jam contributed to this decline among the world's economies?

The United States is no longer among the world's top 10 nations in terms of economic freedom, according to a newly published index.

The world's largest economy slipped two notches into the 12th position in the 2014 Index of Economic Freedom registering its seventh consecutive decline.

Asian financial capital Hong Kong maintained its title as the world's freest economy for the twentieth consecutive year.

"Creation of a new company, the level of taxation, the ability of the lowest quintile to rise up, is better in Hong Kong than anywhere else," Ed Feulner, of the Heritage Foundation told CNBC Asia's Squawk Box.

Singapore, Australia, Switzerland, New Zealand and Canada placed in second through sixth place, respectively. North Korea is last.

This is trivial unimportant stuff, back to the traffic jam.

The Presidential field for Repubs is as open for 2016 as it was in 2012. And so far it appears they have lined up another bunch of clowns as they did in 2012: Paul Ryan, Marco Rubio, Rick Santorum, Rand Paul and whoever else will crawl out of the woodwork. The only difference is this time some of the clowns may not make it to the stage as they did in 2012.

Mitt Romney announced early on he was running and most figured he would probably end up with the nomination but the media likes to have something to tantalize the public with so everytime some other clown announced he/she was running the media jumped on it to give them their "15 minutes of fame."

The teabaggers wild-eyed ignorant darling Michelle Bachman won a "STRAW" poll at the Iowa State Fair. For about a week she believed the media hype that she had a chance against Mitt Romney, until the stories emerged about her abuse of farm subsidies and her husband's activities then she was thrown under the bus. Next out from beneath a slice of pizza appeared Herman Cain and for about two weeks he thought he had a chance until his mistress emerged with her stories of how she had been a kept woman on the company's dime. Next up: Newt,"I marry my mistresses" Gingrich. Why Newt Gingrich ever even entertained the idea he had a snowball's chance in hell of winning but once again thanks to the media he was given yet another "15 minutes of fame." Then there was the Roman Catholic Representative, Rick "mad dog" Santorum. He really should have just gone into the priesthood. Of course he's like Nixon evidently he believes if you just keeping running eventually they will just give it to you. Hmm, who am I missing? Oh yeah, Jon Huntsman he of course NEVER had a chance because President Obama had the audacity to appoint him as an ambassador and that was the kiss of death for his chances. Then last, but certainly not least was Ron Paul. All the libertarians just knew he was going to win but by the time the media start exposing some of his past communications it was over for him before he could say "I'm just doing this to set the stage for my son in 2016."

In the end who did they end up with? The one everyone knew they were going to end up with from the very beginning: Mitt Romney. But at least for almost two years the media got something to write about and tantalize the public. Of course by the time Mittens got through trying to convince teabaggers he was of them, he had lost the election. Once again, the Repubs find themselves back in the same spot, and once again they WILL LOSE because in trying to appeal to teabaggers, they lose the people who can actually help them win: Women and Minorities. Let the games begin. LOL

Chris Hedges' piece on Truthdig.com illustrates the threat posed by Christie to American democracy. He is the darling of the amoral corporatist cabal - both its Republican and Democratic elements, which illustrates the hollowness of modern America, rendered such by greed and corruption. It's not just Republicans any more:

"New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has been Wall Street’s anointed son for the presidency. He is backed by the most ruthless and corrupt figures in New Jersey politics, including the New Jersey multimillionaire and hard-line Democratic boss George Norcross III. Among his other supporters are many hedge fund managers and corporate executives and some of the nation’s most retrograde billionaires, including the Koch brothers. The brewing scandal over the closing of traffic lanes on the George Washington Bridge apparently in retaliation for the Fort Lee mayor’s refusal to support the governor’s 2013 re-election is a window into how federal agencies and the security and surveillance apparatus would be routinely employed in a Christie presidency to punish anyone who challenged this tiny cabal’s grip on power."

You mistake ridicule for concern. LOL I look forward to the next clown show the Repubs will put on in the 2016 Presidential Election. In 2008 we only had Sarah Palin as the lead clown. In 2012 there was a whole stage full of clowns. If 2016 is as entertaining as 2012 it should be a hoot.

Unless the Repubs can ditch the teabaggers (or at the very least not allow them to force a candidate to the far right) they are going to lose again. If Hillary decides to run, she will win and walk right back into the White House with Bubba behind her. Karl Rove will have another melt down on National T.V. the night of the election and Dick "the bookie" Morris will wake up the next morning thinking it was all a bad dream. LOL

I always thought it would have been great to watch federal marshals "frog march" Karl Rove out of the White House for the role he played in outing a CIA agent and all the other dirt during his days of glory in the White House, but even in my wildest imagination did that compare to the night of the 2012 election on Faux News. You blinkered right wing sock puppets apparently just can't read. There is a significant and growing portion of the electorate on the left -- and I mean the LEFT, not the "center left" people talk about today which would be represented by BOTH Republicans and Democrats well known to citizens who were politically active post WWII -- and who would be totally shut out of either party's mainstream in today's wackobird-dominated parties.

The poisoning of the American political punch bowl was started by that devil Ronald Reagan who elevated riches and greed above humanity and started America on its slide toward near destruction in the Bush depression. Both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama represent shams foist upon the country's hopes of a return to more egalitarian values. The Clinton surplus was wasted by Bush on neocon war-mongering leaving Obama to wallow in the depths of a debt-ridden tar pit of an economy.

Obama's failure to represent any meaningful progressive values is best represented by a health care law that, while giving a few nods to the most abused and needy, still ends up further enriching the insurance and pharma cabals. His failure to create ANY jobs programs along the lines of the WPA to give economic encouragement to the poor and dispossessed brands him the enemy of everyone who believes in economic fairness and empowerment of the masses who are eager to work but cannot survive on minimum (i.e. slave) wages. He is a corporatist, a brand, a capitalist smiling facade a la WalMart - sold to us by a clever corporatist media campaign with its roots in the same dark, right wing, money pit that feeds the modern Republican machine. He is WORTHLESS to anyone who seeks to return America to its core values. The election of Hillary Clinton will simply continue his sad legacies of corporate enrichment, eager war-making and domestic spying.

Revolution against BOTH of these parties of destruction is all that will keep the American dream from becoming the world's nightmare.

Christie is no conservative, he's just a rino. Long way to go."

If the Repubs want a REAL CHALLENGER for Hillary (if she decides to run) then they are going to have to find someone who is not willing to lick the bootstraps of the teabaggers to win the nomination. The problem the Repubs have is they don't have anyone who has the courage to tell the teabaggers to back off. So,they let a small group of disgruntled, ignorant, teabillies dictate to them so they can win the nomination. When they finally win the nomination and attempt to trek back to the center for the general election it's too late. They discover women and minorities have been turned off by their cow towing comments to teabaggers. Like Mittens telling a bunch of teabaggers as Governor of Mass. he was a "severe conservative." Yeah, right. LOL

It is 2014. If the election cost almost half a billion the last time around(and Repubs still lost)it's amazing what it might cost in 2016. Two years to raise that kind of money is not a short amount of time in the scheme of politics. Just ask Turdblossom Rove. He just knew all the money he raised was going to put a Repub in the White House, but as we all know it didn't happen, instead we witnessed the near mental breakdown of Turdblossom Rove live and in living color. (Cue Faux News: Election Night 2012, Ohio Returns. The best reality show ever shown on T.V. LOL)

Ted Cruz and all the rest of the teabaggers have already made trips to Iowa to test the water and in the coming months they will make many more. Of all that bunch, Christie had the best chance of winning but if that bridge scandal leads to more serious troubles for him then it's over. He won't make the cut. He at least gave the appearance of not cow towing to the teabaggers and that could only have helped him rather than hurt him.

Seems to me that the Tea-Party Republicans are tearing the man down far worse than any Liberal has. That to me is more stupid, given that the man WAS their only hope to win in 2016 as things stand today.

You clearly do not pay attention to what is going on out there. The man is very well known to those of us who are politically aware. Is he known to all? Ofo course not, but there ARE people out there who do not know who the current President is.

"Christie is no conservative, he's just a rino. Long way to go."

Be that as it may, the Country will not elect a truly conservative Republican for President, no matter how badly some of you would like to see one elected, so that Rino is your best hope, or was, until a couple of photos hit the press yesterday, which has damaged him probably beyond repair. I found one of them.

Christie exemplifies the lowest form of governing, just like the Bush/Cheney cabal. Many of the same Republicans who criticize President Obama for suggesting the benefits be extended were in Congress when George Bush asked for benefits to be extended. And the Republican-controlled Congress obliged by extending benefits five times without uttering a peep. All five times a majority of Republicans in Congress voted for the extension. The Hastert rule was in effect and nothing came to the floor without the support of a majority of the majority. There was no mention of an off-set then, why now?

What is different now than when Bush was president beside the fact Bush was white and a Republican? For one thing, unemployment is higher now than any time Bush asked for benefits to be extended. It was 6% under Bush, 7% now. Secondly, the deficit is lower now than the last time Bush and Republicans extended benefits in 2008. That fiscal year, the deficit, which Obama inherited, was a trillion dollars. It is half that much now. the republicans in both houses are blocking unemployment extension in the worst recession since 1929, thanks to the spending under GWB, two unfunded wars, tax cuts for the wealthy during war time, etc. etc.

We're supposed to care about it, according the liberal media, but we don't care. Thanks to the liberal media, actual, gross and shocking abuses of power, mostly by Democrats, are common and downplayed. So, who gives a rip about this. Obama's term is one gigantic abuse of power and spitfest in America's face. Christie is perceived to be by the liberal media, because they're stupid and think they know everything, of having the nomination locked up. Horse $hit. Hillary is “smart”? - Upon taking office she declared Bashar Assad of Syria a “reformer”

Hillary is “pragmatic”? - “What difference, at this point, does it make?”

Hillary is “tough-minded”? - Yes, she did insist that Bill introduce Hillarycare.

Hillary is “indefatigable”? - Yes, she never tires of lying about Travel-gate, Rose Law Firm records and Benghazi.

Hillary is “funny”? - The Russian re-set was especially humorous after they parked their battleships off the coast of Syria to draw their red line. ("peregruzka" doesn't mean reset. It means overcharged, or overloaded)

But Hillary as a “valuable” colleague and “superb representative of the United States all over the world”? - Maybe if one was the Godfather and needed a consigliere or needed to fill a seat in Davos to ensure liberal-Euro love while apologizing for America? Otherwise, we only hear crickets chirp when awaiting the answer to demands for a list of achievements of the former Secretary of State.

And of course once more .... Thanks Joe

”While I support the SSCI report and appreciate its thorough analysis of much of what went wrong, I believe that more emphasis should have been placed on the three issues I have discussed: (1) the Administration's initial misleading of the American people about the terrorist nature of the attack, (2) the failure of the Administration to hold anyone at the State Department, particularly Under Secretary Kennedy, fully accountable for the security lapses, and (3) the unfulfilled promises of President Obama that he would bring the terrorists to justice.”

- Above is additional conclusions by SUSAN COLLINS

It's hilarious to watch all the usual suspects spin like baby ballerinas at the prospect of a Hillary Clinton Presidency.

Chris Christie might have escaped unharmed from all of this, had he shut his mouth and let the press and his detractors do their little dances for a few days, but the more he says, the more the evidence comes out against him.

Everyone knows I have defended the man, but those two recently released photos of him with David Wildsteirn prove the man to be a total liar. When will people ever learn that when cornered and nowhere to go, the best course of action is to fess up and then shut up?

Had Bill Clinton had been forthcoming several years ago and said, "Yep...Monica and myself had a grand old time on the Presidential desk. We moved heaven and Earth,!!!" it would have left no one anywhere to go and that would have been it.

He would have also not been impeached, for he would not have broken any laws, outside of disregarding his marital vows, which would have been up to Hillary to file a civil suit against the man.

AS it is, she's finally going to get what she has wanted for years, which will probably be the distinction of becoming the first female President of the United States, and it doesb't look like anything is standing in her way, and short of a miracle or an old fashioned assassination, history is about to be written.

But make no mistake, even if something happens and Hillary is not part of the equation, the candidates of choice that some of you have, will not stand a chance in hell of being elected.

Joe Biden it will be.

Your conclusions are not widely shared by most Americans. Outside of Fox News, which has been keeping this alive, America has moved on from it all.

This report barely made more than a three sentence blurb on every other network or newspaper.

Is there anything new that has not been offered ten times over through the past year? Nope.

There is only one person who could have taken responsibility for what happened to himself and three other people on that day, and that is Ambassador Stevens himself.

He was warned not to be there and if he insisted on coming in, to do so at night and without fanfare. He disregarded that warning.

He was offered extra security by the African Command twice in the weeks leading up to 9/11. He declined it.

Ambassador Stevens could have very well prevented his own demise, but he believed he was loved by the locals, who were powerless to prevent what happened.

It makes little difference to me what is written in some partisan report. The above facts will not be found in that report and they are irrefutable and were established in testimony that the world watched.

Holding the President and the State Department, mainly the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton responsible for what happened is a purely partisan response.

Nothing new to see here folks!!

Anyone who believes that someone...anyone...based in Washington D.C., could have prevented what happened in Benghazi, has watched one too many Jack Ryan movies.

"You're a pajama boy, just admit it."

What does that even mean?

"You the audacity to chastise Christie for associating with a liar, when we have a serial liar in the white house."

You need to go back and read what I wrote. I said Chris Christie lied about his knowing who David Wildstein was. The photos released over the last 24 hours prove him to have lied about it, which means he may not have directly ordered what happened, but he most certainly knew about it.

What you claim the President has lied about and what I might concede that he has lied about are so far apart, that we will never come to any agreement, so I'll let that lay just where it is.

"Nobody does projection and the double standard like a Democrat."

Whatever. You have never had any lock on the truth in this forum and you totally ignore everything that is refuted, so I'm hardly bothered by such an inflammitory statement.

"Hillary and Obama are just about one in the same, there's no debate. Both statists and haters of the middle class."

Ask the middle class about that. I'm sure you would find widespread disagreement. Ask them again, if the President decides to carry out on his promise to address the current economy via Executive Order, after the Republicans howl to the moon.

"If Hillary makes it in, she'll have the distinction of being the president with the thickest ankles. She probably will ban blue dresses anywhere near the oval office."

I'm sure if we knew what it is that you look like, that you might find yourself the victim of all kinds of criticism yourself.

It really takes a small mind to level insults about the appearance of someone, and as I stated earlier, it has ALWAYS been my experience that those who do it are lacking in the looks department themselves.

Although I can’t speak for PT and I don’t know his source I do not think he referenced the 85 page report as to the source of this 20 minute time figure. However it can be verified through House Armed Services Committee declassified behind close door testimony.

The first link is an article concerning these released testimonies and the second is the actual testimonies. Avail yourself of them at your leisure.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/01/14/benghazi-transcripts-top-defense-officials-briefed-obama-on-attack-not-video-or/

Ham -- who was working out of his Pentagon office on the afternoon of Sept. 11 -- said he learned about the assault on the consulate compound within 15 minutes of its commencement, at 9:42 p.m. Libya time, through a call he received from the AFRICOM Command Center.

"My first call was to General Dempsey, General Dempsey's office, to say, 'Hey, I am headed down the hall. I need to see him right away,'" Ham told lawmakers. "I told him what I knew. We immediately walked upstairs to meet with Secretary Panetta."

WENSTRUP: "As a military person, I am concerned that someone in the military would be advising that this was a demonstration. I would hope that our military leadership would be advising that this was a terrorist attack."

HAM: "Again, sir, I think, you know, there was some preliminary discussion about, you know, maybe there was a demonstration. But I think at the command, I personally and I think the command very quickly got to the point that this was not a demonstration, this was a terrorist attack."

WENSTRUP: "And you would have advised as such if asked. Would that be correct?"

HAM: "Well, and with General Dempsey and Secretary Panetta, that is the nature of the conversation we had, yes, sir."

Panetta told the Senate Armed Services Committee in February of last year that it was him who informed the president that "there was an apparent attack going on in Benghazi." "Secretary Panetta, do you believe that unequivocally at that time we knew that this was a terrorist attack?" asked Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla. "There was no question in my mind that this was a terrorist attack," Panetta replied.

Senior State Department officials who were in direct, real-time contact with the Americans under assault in Benghazi have also made clear they, too, knew immediately -- from surveillance video and eyewitness accounts -- that the incident was a terrorist attack.

Ham's declassified testimony further underscores that Obama's earliest briefing on Benghazi was solely to the effect that the incident was a terrorist attack, and raises once again the question of how the narrative about the offensive video, and a demonstration that never occurred, took root within the White House as the explanation for Benghazi.

Your original post was:

pt said "Senate committee (bipartisan) says compelling evidence within 20 minutes that Benghazi was a terrorist attack."

I read the report, pt, and I did not read that finding by the (bipartisan) committee. It is 85 pages long, and I may have missed it. Please reference the page where that finding is made.

It surely appears that your original contention was with the 20 min. time frame and not whether it was the official finding of this Senate committee. We can only guess why it would be important, to you Fleabaggers, that the professionals which were privy to what was happening, in real time, told the president immediately that it was a “terrorist attack” ... Right? Although now, since my post about the secret testimony, you seem to want to make it all about the Senate committee’s findings.

It is one thing to quote testimony from a witness and make a case for what the testimony means.

I made no demands on you as to how to interpret the testimony. I can only state that myself and I would think any rational sane person reading the transcripts would say Obama was told immediately after the attack started it was a terrorist attack. Yet he and members of his administration lied to the public and the families of the dead for two weeks about the cause of the attack to advance their personal political objectives.

You can spin this any way you want but that is at the core of the Benghazi story. Obama lie to us to cover his own political a^^.

What is there about Hillary that most don't already know? Repubs know they have nothing new they can drag out concerning Hillary. At first Benghazi was suppose to be the final nail in President Obama's coffin. Some of the nut jobs were just foaming at the mouth insistent this was going to get him impeached and Hillary discredited to the point she wouldn't be able to run for President. Well, somehow the evidence needed to impeach President Obama and discredit Hillary got lost in those 85 pages from the Senate. So, now they are looking for something, anything they can throw on the wall against Hillary that might stick but so far NOTHING. In fact, Ambassador Stevens turned down extra personnel to provide security because he felt it wasn't needed ACCORDING TO THE REPORT.

A new poll out yesterday, claims in a match up with Chris Christie, Hillary has a 13 point lead over him (50/37). However, just a month ago that lead was only 3 points (48/45), what's known as a statistical dead heat. No other Republican Candidate has come that close to Hillary so until "Bridgegate" Christie was their best bet. Too bad for them Hillary was born in Illinois and not the foreign country of Hawaii. Of course with Canadian Born Ted Cruz vying for the office, we'll probably never hear from the birthers again. LOL

What difference does it make? Those words are just as true today as they were the day Hillary Clinton spoke them. What difference does it make whether the attack was planned, terrorist sponsored, or spontaneous? Those four men are just as dead as they were on the night it happened.

The President referred to it as an act of terrorism the morning after. The only bone of contention seems to surround what was publicly offered to the American people by the Administration, and it has become silly to an extreme to keep hammering on it.

What difference does it make?

Can anyone offer a SERIOUS response to that question?

So what? Who has stated that the act was not an act of terror? The four were dead, weren't they? It isn't like anyone suggested that the four died accidentally playing volleyball.

"A rank lie was perpetuated on the public for political reasons."

And even if that were true, are you so delusional to believe that if the same thing happened to a Republican President a couple of months before an election, that he or she would not do the same thing, for damage control?

"Is that so hard to savvy?"

Nope. I've even suggested it a time or two, but that is politics as it has become known, and it would have been a shame and disgrace for this nation to have been deprived of a good President's second term, due to a terror attack halfway around the world.

"Also spun to victim's families."

Regardless of what may or may not have occurred, those men were just as dead. Are the details going to bring them back to life?

"Are you such a partisan hack that you can't, or won't, see this?"

What you call lying was nothing more than prudence in relating what may or may not have happened until the FACTS were in. You can have the entire military calling Washington D.C. claiming it to be an al Queda attack, but until the facts are in, some people still believe in relating what is known, rather than to dispense related opinions.

That's a too generalized question. Access to health care should be equal. We should be equal in terms of freedom. Criminal prosecutions should be equal. There should also be equal access to education, employment, an public business, etc.

Should income be equal? No, but that does not mean that I am for paying a man 500 times that of another employee of the same company.

"Liberals believe in utopia and fantasy. And they get their fellow low-information voters to believe in these fantasies. There has never been equality anywhere in the world and there never will be."

No I don't, because they had two very confirmed protests in other Middle Eastern countries over that video, and an assumption that the incident in Libya was spawned by the same thing was not out of the question at all.

Opinions are not facts, and the only thing that could have been being fed to Washington from people stationed in other places around the world, or even those in the same region, was their personal opinion.

Not one person who was feeding Washington information was right there where it was happening at the time it was happening. Everything was speculation and rumor.

That's the free market at work alpo. If it's in the market for a man to get paid 500 times that of "another employee of the same company", then that's what he's worth to that company.

Take "another employee from the same company" and put him in a suit and sit him in the executive chair, the company would suffer as a whole.

And if a company decides to hire an executive for $500 million a year, and it doesn't work, then the company fails.

I can't conceive of backing a candidate for president, and having him turn out to be this awful and still defending him at this point. It's not his policies, which I don't agree with, but his flat out lies, and disrespect for our legislative process. What a narcissist. He's constantly threatening to go around our legislative process to get his way. He picks and chooses what part of a law to enforce.

I voted for Bush and have no problem at all criticizing him for becoming an irresponsible spender, which is the opposite of what I he made himself out to be. I consider myself to have been deceived by that.

You Democrats have no ability at all to criticize your own. You're the ones who are obsessed with party loyalty. You're just a bunch of brown shirts. As a conservative I belong to no party. I vote for the person that is the most responsible with tax payer dollars. If a Democrat was, then he'd have my vote, but that's not going to happen because the Democrat Party is a left wing juggernaut full of eunuchs, pajama boys, communisists, gay wackos, black racists, illegals with an entitlement mentality and leaches. The GOP has no balls, and is just part of the corrupt power system in D.C.

What qualifications does Obama even have to be a president? Where did he acquire any executive skills from? Where does his knowledge of economics come from? Where did he ever learn ANY executive knowledge?

He's affecting the lives of millions without even knowing what the hell he's doing. He's surrounded himself with liberal/socialist ideologues and yes men who cheer his every move. Along with a slavish media that still slobber at his feet.

Face it, he got elected by the color of his skin. A white man with Obama's lack of qualifications would've never made it to the podium.

What difference does it make? Those words are just as true today as they were the day Hillary Clinton spoke them. What difference does it make whether the attack was planned, terrorist sponsored, or spontaneous? Those four men are just as dead as they were on the night it happened.

Exactly !! ... What difference does it make that “Bush lied and people died.” Their all dead now and why should anyone care how it happened or what lies were told ... Right?

The President referred to it as an act of terrorism the morning after.

B.S. !! ... And he was given many chances over a several week period to confirm it was so and did not until his act became knee-slapping hilarious for it’s obvious lie to cover his political a^^.

The only bone of contention seems to surround what was publicly offered to the American people by the Administration, and it has become silly to an extreme to keep hammering on it.

You obviously haven’t read or heard any of the testimony concerning how incompetent the Obama administration was before, during, and after this event.

What difference does it make?

Can anyone offer a SERIOUS response to that question?

Exactly !! ... Why should anyone rehash any scandal or malfeasance of past administrations as it’s all a waste of time and it’s not going to change what happened ... Right?

"The flashing red report. From the beginning it was recognized as a terrorist attack. From the beginning of the attack."

So what? Who has stated that the act was not an act of terror?

Many, many, many Obama sycophants.

The four were dead, weren't they? It isn't like anyone suggested that the four died accidentally playing volleyball.

And it is their fault they are dead ... There is that to take into account.

He is WORTHLESS to anyone who seeks to return America to its core values. damage to reputation; public disgrace.

a disgraceful or discreditable action, circumstance, etc.

a person whose conduct brings disgrace or offense.

defamatory talk; malicious gossip.

Have there been any scandals in the capital? They don't appear to be limited to Obama, he didn't know what was happening or being done. He says some things he learned about like we did, watching the news. The ignorant are often victims of scandals. One might conclude there is some scandalous behavior right on this forum.

Apparently Christie and Obama have similar talents and manage from the 100,000 foot level, no micromanaging going on if they didn't know. Not sure if any managing was going on.

Christie exemplifies the lowest form of governing, just like the Bush/Cheney cabal.

Do you actually think that is enough cover to keep you from being accused of going off subject as you have accused the rest of us?

Many of the same Republicans who criticize President Obama for suggesting the benefits be extended were in Congress when George Bush asked for benefits to be extended. And the Republican-controlled Congress obliged by extending benefits five times without uttering a peep. What is different now than when Bush was president beside the fact Bush was white and a Republican?

We weren’t $17 trillion in debt and Obama has declared the recession over in 2009 and the economy is all sweetness and light ... Right?

For one thing, unemployment is higher now than any time Bush asked for benefits to be extended. It was 6% under Bush, 7% now.

The labor participation rate was also much higher so as far as workers should be concerned that sure sounds like an endorsement of Bush over Obama ... Right?

Secondly, the deficit is lower now than the last time Bush and Republicans extended benefits in 2008. That fiscal year, the deficit, which Obama inherited, was a trillion dollars. It is half that much now.

Obama sign 8 of the 11 spending bills for that year ... so there is that.
