about Clay Bennett...

The son of a career army officer, Bennett led a nomadic life, attending ten different schools before graduating in 1980 from the University of North Alabama with degrees in Art and History. Anyone planning to attend the Olympics in Sochi? Those attending know the risk and a terrorist event should be no surprise. Who do you think could assemble the best security forces, Putin or Obama? Improved relations with Russia would be to America's advantage, a few in D.C. realize this. Look at what preventing Russia from capturing Afghanistan got us. Would we not be better off if we had not interfered and they had been successful? For many years the military dollars spent in and on Afghanistan would have equaled the annual deficit.

Yes, Irangate anyone?. That was one of the many wonderful things Ronald Reagan gave us.

If you're an American pondering whether to sell missiles to a foreign power with a proven history of sponsoring terrorism against the United States, you probably ought to think twice. It could reasonably be argued that this would be giving aid to an enemy of the U.S., and therefore expose you to a charge of treason. Seems pretty straightforward, doesn't it?

And yet this is precisely what President Ronald Reagan did. But did he get impeached? Nope. The American people decided (that's dubious at best) that if the President was paving a road with his very best intentions, it didn't really matter where that road ultimately led. Who cares about a few broken laws? And in the wake of overwhelming public apathy, the whole affair was quietly set aside.

January 26, 2014 at 6:55 a.m.

You gotta be kidding? Russia couldn't handle Afghanistan, no one can. No one has been able to control it for centuries. Russia wasn't successful, nobody will be. Just stay out of that hellish hole. It's only a place to bomb, if necessary. To actually go in there and think it can be controlled is ridiculous. History has proven that.

I never thought I'd see the day when a Russian president looks better than our own. What a pathetic eunuch we have in the WH.

Wally, what does that have to do with anything? My point is that no one has ever been successful there, and no one ever will. Nobody should be there, even the people who live there don't want to be in that miserable place. Anything to take attention away from Benghazi. You libs know damn will that if a Republican would have been in the WH during Benghazi you'd be all over it. The buck stops at the top, just like it does for all other presidents, GOP or Dem. For some reason, BO isn't responsible for a damn thing, he's there, but yet he's not there. He's not fooling anyone.

It's amazing how you libs keep bringing up Bush and Reagan. It's always about diverting attention from BO. We have a lawless president who gets a free pass from our lapdog media, and who picks and chooses what parts of a law to enforce.

Boo Hoo..poor baby Barack he inherited this and he inherited that. He's been president since '08, and he's still blaming his race and talk radio for his failures. He's a crackpot who loves to intrude in our lives, and he has crackpots in his administration. Look at the new crackpot head of Homeland Security, he stated that illegal aliens have earned the right to be citizens. What a jackass. I suppose he can't be criticized either because he's black?

January 26, 2014 at 8:23 a.m.

You're whining. He didn't do anything. It took a long time, and the great effort of many people, many of whom lost their lives, to find Bin Laden. BO just sat on his ass, and everyone else did the work, which is par for the course for him. Did he come up with the strategy to get Bin Laden, did he do the groundwork, did kill him? No. The way he strutted around, beat his chest and bragged about it after was embarrassing and classless. He didn't "catch up" with him, if you think HE did, then you're nuts. Then what does he do? He backs radical Muslims in Egypt and does everything he can to down play Benghazi. He wasn't in Benghazi, he wasn't guarding the embassy, but it was on his watch, and if he can take credit for Bin Laden, then he should take responsibility for Benghazi. Can't have it both ways. Like I said, he's a eunuch.

The fact that you say HE "caught up with the biggest terrorist in the world" reveals a lot.

History does matter, and Benghazi matters. BO and Hillary were at the top, and they skate for the moment because the media is more concerned with Justin Bieber than being journalists.

History matters for everyone, BO as well.

January 26, 2014 at 8:31 a.m.

Presidents are judged on their success and failures, as it should be. BO is no different. Only a eunuch like him would bitch about and blame racism and talk radio for his low popularity in the polls. Utterly embarrassing. He has the media on his side, and hollywood, if his numbers are low it's because he sucks. Deal with it. He should be held to the same standard as other presidents. He's a bitchy cry baby.

Republicans work strictly for the wealthiest Americans and I challenge anyone to cite any proof to the contrary.

That being in evidence, I can only laugh at people who are barely getting by, especially those who are on Social Security, who worship Republican politicians.

You'd love nothing more than for me to call Dr. Ben Carson an Uncle Tom because he is a Republican. I don't know where he fits in religiously, so I have no idea if he is a conservative or not.

Dr. Ben Carson is wealthy and that is his reason for coming down on the side of all things Republican.

January 22, 2002. Calcutta, India. Gunmen associated with Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami attack the U.S. Consulate. Five people are killed.

June 14, 2002. Karachi, Pakistan. Suicide bomber connected with al Qaeda attacks the U.S. Consulate, killing 12 and injuring 51.

October 12, 2002. Denpasar, Indonesia. U.S. diplomatic offices bombed as part of a string of "Bali Bombings." No fatalities.

February 28, 2003. Islamabad, Pakistan. Several gunmen fire upon the U.S. Embassy. Two people are killed.

May 12, 2003. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Armed al Qaeda terrorists storm the diplomatic compound, killing 36 people including nine Americans. The assailants committed suicide by detonating a truck bomb.

July 30, 2004. Tashkent, Uzbekistan. A suicide bomber from the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan attacks the U.S. Embassy, killing two people.

December 6, 2004. Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Al Qaeda terrorists storm the U.S. Consulate and occupy the perimeter wall. Nine people are killed.

March 2, 2006. Karachi, Pakistan again. Suicide bomber attacks the U.S. Consulate killing four people, including U.S. diplomat David Foy who was directly targeted by the attackers. (I wonder if Lindsey Graham or Fox News would even recognize the name "David Foy." This is the third Karachi terrorist attack in four years on what's considered American soil.)

September 12, 2006. Damascus, Syria. Four armed gunmen shouting "Allahu akbar" storm the U.S. Embassy using grenades, automatic weapons, a car bomb and a truck bomb. Four people are killed, 13 are wounded.

January 12, 2007. Athens, Greece. Members of a Greek terrorist group called the Revolutionary Struggle fire a rocket-propelled grenade at the U.S. Embassy. No fatalities.

March 18, 2008. Sana'a, Yemen. Members of the al-Qaeda-linked Islamic Jihad of Yemen fire a mortar at the U.S. Embassy. The shot misses the embassy, but hits nearby school killing two.

July 9, 2008. Istanbul, Turkey. Four armed terrorists attack the U.S. Consulate. Six people are killed.

September 17, 2008. Sana'a, Yemen. Terrorists dressed as military officials attack the U.S. Embassy with an arsenal of weapons including RPGs and detonate two car bombs. Sixteen people are killed, including an American student and her husband (they had been married for three weeks when the attack occurred). This is the second attack on this embassy in seven months.

Yes, you are one of those Republican brainwashed souls. You truly believe that it is the wealthy who provide for the rest of us.

The fact of the matter is that the middle class is the number one job creator in this nation.

You are a corporatist defender when the probability is that you benefit very little from them, but you most likely fund their efforts on a daily basis.

"Taking from one to give to another doesn't do a damn thing for the long haul. Except keeping the takers in power for awhile."

You might have a point to make if it was not for the fact that the rich in this nation used to pay ooodles more than they do today.

Your claim holds no water and it hasn't since Ronald Reagan was President.

"BTW,the "income inequality" you love to hate has risen more during Obama's term than the last three presidents."

Maybe it has or maybe it hasn't. The one thing you cannot do is to substantiate such a claim by pointing to anything the President has done personally that is responsible for income inequality.

"You sit there and make your comments how those who disagree with Obama must be racists. When asked it you are racists if you disagree with Dr. Carson you come up with a cheesy post on how I'm trying to bait you."

I see. So now you're going to deny the intent of your posting that question? You don't see me posting on a daily basis any issue I have with Dr. Ben Carson, but you are here just about every single day ranting about the President.

I don't recall ever bringing Carson's name into this forum, ever, yet you're going to attempt to call me a racist for not answering your loaded question?

You're pathetic.

"Your post from today confirms even more that you are a racists as you can not stand the fact that a black person would use free will to make their own decision on their political beliefs and leaves the government plantation."

Sir, with what little respect you are due now, I don't appreciate you putting words into my mouth that I have never, ever, personally uttered.

You WANTED me to call the man an Uncle Tom. Apparently, that is your view of the man, rather than my own. I wrote that I have had very little experience in reading or hearing a thing the man has ever said, so I know little about him, other than he is vocally opposed to ObamaCare and a Fox News contributer.

Thus, I have little interest in what the man has to say, because I know full and well that when he appears on Fox, he will tout the Republican Party lines or be banished.

"In your racists world a black person becomes successful they must stay on the plantation. How dare they leave and make a choice on their own with out having permission from racists like you."

That's some wonderful logic you are using. I write about the man's financial stature in life, as his reasoning for supporting the Republican mantra, and you are calling me a racist for it.

It's your problem. Not mine.

"You believe black are not smart enough to think for themselves and they belong to the government and are your servants."

And when is it that I allegedly posted any such thoughts?

"You hate it even more when a black person thinks for themselves, applies themselves becomes successful and leaves the government plantation."

Ditto...

"In your racist world Dr. Carson and other successful blacks who are conservative are just to uppity just like LBJ said aren't they Al?"

You're merely projecting, Pal. You cannot point to ANY wording from myself that would begin to support your desperate lies.

You really are a pathetic loser.

I saw a figure the other day that stated that 98% of blacks still support the President.

87% still support the Democrats in general.

If the Republicans are so effective in representing the interests and the needs of those who are poor and black, why in the hell are they not getting the votes?

The U.S. Consulate in Karachi, Pakistan was attacked THREE times in 4 years, all under Bush's watch and he did NOTHING about it. The attacks on the U.S. embassy in Sana'a, Yemen occurred TWICE within a 7-month period and Bush did NOTHING about it.

”Nothing” - Really?

Funny but I don't recall the media or even any Democrats in the White House crying out and making a big deal over all those attacks when Bush was Prez.

They have destroyed the black family through social welfare programs that encourage single mothers to receive more government money by having more babies. Democrats have done everything possible to take away a good education to children in the black community by keeping these kids ion failing government schools while refusing to allow private school voucher system, which has shown to have very positive results.

"The Democrats want to keep blacks in social welfare hell."

And your proof to your opinion that Democrats have this goal in mind, is where?

Ah...yes, it is a fact that not one black person in this nation works for a living. They are all on welfare, right?

"They have destroyed the black family through social welfare programs that encourage single mothers to receive more government money by having more babies."

You don't believe that the people themselves are responsible for making those decisions? It's the evil Democrats who are encouraging black people to procreate for more money.

I'm sure I saw a commercial along those lines just the other day.

"Democrats have done everything possible to take away a good education to children in the black community by keeping these kids ion failing government schools while refusing to allow private school voucher system, which has shown to have very positive results."

And as we know, those private schools are welcoming black kids with open arms, througout the entire nation, eh?

"When a black decides to break away from the government plantation and have conservative values it is the Democrats and liberals who call them an Oreo, Uncle Tom, etc."

A myth only perpetuated by the Republicans and their cheerleaders.

"Blacks are starting to realize polices of Democrats have not improved their life, in fact it has made it worse, and Democrats are worried over time they will lose the black vote."

Hey, you're allowed to dream, but you are not entitled to your own facts. It's gonna be a long, long time before any meaningful block of black votes go toward Republicans, wherever they tun for office.

You cannot dig up so much as one sentence, written by myself, that would begin to prove that I harbor any resentment of Carson due to his skin color. I resent his politics. I resent his disregard for the people in this nation who will benefit from ObamaCare

One of them is my very own wife, who now has a full coverage insurance policy provided to her by her employer, thanks to ObamaCare, and she doesn't even work for a small employer. She works for a large, International firm. The coverage she had as f this past November was crap compared to what she has now.

Lower deductibles, lower co-pays for meds, and all the benefits ObamaCare calls for, and her co-pay for the premium only went up about $20 a pat period. She is thrilled, to say the least.

While serving in Taji, Iraq, West received information from an intelligence specialist about a plot to ambush his unit. The alleged plot reportedly involved Yahya Jhodri Hamoodi, an Iraqi police officer. West had his men detain Hamoodi. Soldiers testified that in the process of detaining Hamoodi, he appeared to reach for his weapon and needed to be subdued. Hamoodi was beaten by four soldiers from the 2/20th Field Artillery Battalion on the head and body. West then fired his pistol near Hamoodi's head, after which Hamoodi provided West with names and information, which Hamoodi later described as "meaningless information induced by fear and pain."

West was charged with violating Articles 128 (assault) and 134 (general article) of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. During a hearing held as part of an Article 32 investigation in November 2003, West stated, "I know the method I used was not right, but I wanted to take care of my soldiers." The charges were ultimately referred to an Article 15 proceeding rather than court-martial, at which West was fined $5,000. Lieutenant Colonel West accepted the judgment and retired with full benefits in the summer of 2004. Asked if he would act differently under similar circumstances, West testified, " If it's about the lives of my soldiers at stake, I'd go through hell with a gasoline can." At his hearing, West said that there were no ambushes against American forces in Taji until he was relieved of his leadership post a month later. After West's retirement he received more than 2,000 letters and e-mails offering him moral support. A letter supporting West was signed by 95 members of Congress and sent to the Secretary of the Army.

Works for me. You on the other hand obviously hate him for his skin color and thus incompatibly political beliefs.... Uncle Tom .. Right?

Not at all, but when people attack liberals the way some of you in here do, I find it more than fitting to return the favor.

You folk go to great lengths to defend that idiot. Here's just a sample of Alan West's fine musings;

Is it any wonder the man was only in office for two years?

"ONLY one explanation for that "UNCLE TOM"!!"

Just remember, YOU typed it. I didn't.

"Woulda done Al a world of good to have been in combat and have someone shootin at his big ass!"

I'll reserve comment on that one.

"If ya ain't been there and done that ya need to S T F up about it!!"

Oh no, is this where I'm going to get crap from anyone who has held a rifle for the military, because I brought up the circumstances of Alan West's military career?

You enter into conversation all the time, exposing the fact you to not know a damn thing about some of the things you wade into.

I'll write what I want and you do the same.

Alan West is a loser, both militarily and as a politician. Guess the man is asking, "do you want fries with that?" nowadays.

My dear, the joke is on you.

When discussing Republican/Conservatives, I tend to stick to the facts, and offer the occasional opinion.

While my opinion of conservatives may not be very good at the moment, I do not offer outlandish or unsubstantiated rumors. I base my opinions on the legislative history of the Republicans.

Anyone who is retired, or who barely eaks out a living, who looks to the Republican Party to represent their needs and interests, is nothing short of brainwashed, and that is my personal opinion, and it is shared by more people than those who share your opinions.

So...you're going to be out-voted for some time to come, when it comes to Presidential elections. I'm not willing yet to predict the outcome of the mid-terms, but I am getting geared up for them.

That is correct because people tend to reach a conclusion then look for things to support their conclusion and ignore those that don't. Why do people use introductions of a guest speaker? To set the stage for what people can expect then the audience will look for anything that supports that planted impression. Your comments regarding West suggest you want to believe the worst and not that he was intent on protecting those he felt responsible for and to. Your "keen ability" to reach a conclusion regarding other people is frequently evident.

Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice are two people I feel are above reproach and I find it funny that a lowly liberal had to take the time to point it out.

Although Mr. Powell has claimed to be a Republican, in the last two presidential elections he could not bring himself to vote for two of the most moderate conservatives in the Party. Either he is lying about being a Republican or his vote was base on Race.

As for Condoleezza Rice, it is my recollection that you Fleabaggers consider her a “War Criminal”, as being part of the evil cabal that attacked Iraq and Afghanistan. She has not run for political office so she has no real record of what her policies might be. However I think I could be easily persuaded to vote for her.

December 6, 2004. Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Al Qaeda terrorists storm the U.S. Consulate and occupy the perimeter wall. Nine people are killed.

Was inside the U.S. Consulate compound. However security was sufficiently provided to protect the American staff and none were killed or injured.

Was not inside a U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Mr. Foy was killed on his way to the consulate as his car passed an IED.

Furthermore, whether there were American ambassador deaths or not, those people who lost their lives were innocent and many of them were working FOR the embassies, and their lives were every bit as important as the lives of Americans. It is only in the eyes of you neo-conservative "American Exceptionalists" that ONLY American lives count and the lives of all other people from other countries are worthless.

As for the attack on the Kerachi Embassy, it was attacked THREE times in THREE years under Bush, and Ambassador David Foy was specifically targeted. Whether he was killed inside the embassy or not, the attackers obviously succeeded in their mission.

After the Benghazi attack, Donald Rumsfeld made this comment: "The attacks on our embassies and diplomats are a result of perceived American weakness." Considering that, under Bush, there were 11-13 attacks (depending on your source) and 52 deaths (of course, they weren't all American, so those dead people don't count as far as you're concerned) and only 2 attacks and 4 deaths under Obama's watch, then Rumsfeld, even though he didn't intend to, is pointing his finger directly at Bush, not Obama.

But you Obama-hating righties are going to keep whipping this dead horse even though there's nothing but a skeleton left to whip, and you look like fools doing it. Nothing conspiratorial or scandalous will ever come of this and that's because there is nothing conspiratorial or scandalous there in the first place. I have had my say and I stand by it. I honestly don't think that the righties hate Obama so much based on race; they just hate him because they see him as a liberal, and their hatred of liberalism is so great today that it supersedes skin color. But they (and you) are so driven by your ideology that you can't look at him objectively enough to see that he is more of a centrist than a liberal. In fact, my biggest complaint about him is that he is not nearly liberal enough.

It's funny to see all the conservatives, with their selective memories, praising Dr. King, but denouncing Obama for his liberalism, when in fact MKL's extreme liberalism makes Obama look like a Tea-party Republican by comparison.

The threat was not credible, when all was said and done. West coerced a confession out of a man that was not a confession. He said anything that would spare his life.

The military give him two choices. Retire with full benefits or face a Court Martial. Either way, it was crystal clear that the military wanted him out.

Ben Carson will not get the Republican nomination.

Ben Carson supporters are naïve and I’m sorry to say, blind to reality. And that is; if the GOP nominates somebody like Carson they will lose by epic proportions, because he holds positions that a majority of Americans don’t. Put your personal dogmatic beliefs aside and think reality.

He believes homosexuality is on par with bestiality (WHOA!) and is a sin. He is adamantly opposed to same-sex marriage. He is a young-Earther/creationist (which doesn’t jibe with his scientific background) who actually thinks the Earth is some 6,000 years old (as opposed to the majority who understand its mumbo-jumbo). He would also be painted as a hypocrite, as he was once on food stamps and welfare, and yet wants to cut food stamps and welfare. He is yet another whack job in favor of the Trojan Horse known as the flat tax, and says he bases many of his positions (like the smirking chimp) on the bible.

It's not about whether you agree with him or not, and I’m not debating the fact he’s a very smart man - the issue is that he'd be shredded in a presidential election. The GOP hierarchy knows this and so he'll never even be nominated regardless of what you think of him. There are solid majorities of Americans that hold the opposing position on every single one of his stances. The publicity he’s generating at the moment will fade like ice come springtime.

The GOPs seeming preoccupation with closet candidates from the FAR right shows that they really don’t understand that they must to move towards the middle. Because without the votes of moderates, they ain’t gonna win a Presidential election. Period! Saint Ronnie won the moderate Democrats, Clinton won moderate Republicans, and Obama won moderate independents (and in 2008, he even won a decent percentage of moderate Republicans in some swing states).

The GOP gives the impression they’re either headed for major platform reform (more Main St, less Wall St?), or a landslide loss in 2016.

Jt, your detailed response to my post is total crap. So what if the people killed in the raids on the embassies/consulates that I listed were not killed "inside a U.S. Embassy or Consulate??"

Let’s us review the details of the argument. The questions are not the comparative value of the lives lost or the totality of the attacks or loss of life . They are what should the president be held responsible for such as adequate security to protect the equivalent of American soil in other countries and the truth/transparency of what transpired.

The president is primarily responsible for security inside the diplomatic compounds. Outside of those parameters the host country is responsible thus the distinction of the attacks being inside or outside the compounds. Also when our personnel travel outside of the compounds there can only be expected very limited security and thus reduced responsibility for attacks.

As history has shown it is near impossible to prevent gorilla attacks and your only protection is adequate security to blunt it. It has been show that the obama administration had many signs and warnings of the impending attack and the security to address this situation was not provided. As for truth and transparency it is also known that the Obama administration lied repeatedly about the details of the attack to cover their political a##es just before the election.

In you list you did not present one example of presidential malfeasance that was exhibited before, during and after the Benghazi attacks.

Ambassador David Foy was specifically targeted. Whether he was killed inside the embassy or not, the attackers obviously succeeded in their mission.

David Foy was a facilities maintenance officer at the consulate and not the ambassador. A small detail but a large example of how you deal with the details of your arguments.

I have indeed addressed that stupid point, several times.

Early intelligence was handed to the White House that the video sparked the events that transpired in Benghazi, and Fox News wrote an article naming the man who fed that information to the White House.

The President called what happened a terrorist attack the next day on the White House lawn. There is video evidence to prove it.

Your repeated crap, calling what was released to the public as being lies, is nothing but rumor and speculation. If any evidence existed to the contrary, the Republicans would have surely found it.

You people are being brainwashed to believe rumors and speculation, and nothing will ever come of it. No one is going to be indicted, no one will be handcuffed and tried in a court of law.

But you believe whatever you want to believe. Maybe someday you will join the real world and quit reading and listening to a bunch of idiots that will never deliver one plank of your fantasy world to you.

No one will be impeached. No one will be discouraged from runnig for President, and unless Hillary Clinton is found in bed with a dead man or a live underage girl, she will most likely be forever known as the first "Madam President," following the election on November 1, 2016.

Fairmon wrote: "alprova I did not say there was a crime committed or that there should be in indictment."

Well the one thing I do know is that this current indictment by a portion of the American public is going exactly nowhere.

"I do think she and others could have prevented the tragedy and should recognize they failed those people."

The simple fact of the matter is that the one man who could have prevented the deaths of those four men, died as well. Ambassador Stevens went in despite being warned not to, and after refusing offers of additional security not once, but TWICE in the weeks before September 11th.

Now either what I type are facts, or they are not. I urge anyone who is interested in knowing the truth to check into what I have offered as fact, to verify it to their heart's content.

This is all public record and easily discovered. Rumor and speculation are not fact, and if Hillary Clinton were in any manner culpable for what happened in Benghazi, the Republicans would have brought forth proof that she was.

"I am not suggesting there is an applicable law that was violated but I do think it is evident someone, appears to be Hilary, was derelict in their duty."

That's fine. You are entitled to your opinion. But Sir, you base it on accusation, speculation, and without an ounce of proof to base it upon.

"She may or may not be the 2016 candidate, I hope not, I think she is an evil self serving heffer and would be a major mistake."

Then by all means, vote your conscience. You're likely going to be out-voted, which is something I suspect you are used to.

Nothing is set in stone, but I don't see much of a chance that Hillary will be derailed, short of the disqualifying criteria I offered in my previous post.

Then please, name those infamous sources. I can prove who it was and who took responsiblity for those talking points and Fox News reported it.

And I do repeat, the President himself referred to the act as an act of terrorism the morning after the event. All this crap about anyone denying that it was an act of terror, is nothing but the lowest form of bunk.

"The video was a pure political lie. And she will pay the price."

You're damn right it was. "Innocence of Muslims" portrayed the religion of Islam very badly and most disrespectfully, just as many of you right-wingers have done in this very forum.

And, just in case you didn't know, the video was produced and uploaded by a man, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, also known as Mark Basseley Youssef, so I am totally confused as to who this mystery woman that is going to pay a price.

Hillary Clinton didn't make it, she didn't promote it, and you're going to have to run a long way to associate her in any manner with it.

You really need to practice using the words, "Madam President," when referring to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, or you're going to be in for eight more years of self-imposed misery.

Here is the full transcript of Obama's Rose Garden Speech after 9/11 Benghazi attack.

Al, once again you are wrong. Here is the transcript and a video of the speech.

President Obama maintains that he called the attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi a "act of terror", which turns out to be accurate. However, the President is using a play on words. The full transcript below supports that assertion, which the moderator, Candy Crowley vehemently confirmed the President did do. However, the legal term of "act of terrorism" is never used. Furthermore, the President clearly implies the attack was a result of the reaction to an anti-Muslim film released on YouTube in the transcript the Whitehouse released with the video below.

Under the video is a press release later distributed by the Whitehouse that includes the word "terror" used in the generic sense, not referring to "terrorism" or "terrorist act". The choice of words is not a trivial matter in White House parlance, and the word "terrorist act" has an historic and specific meaning. Nor did any of the official Whitehouse statements in the following two weeks refer to "terrorist act." Nor did President Obama tonight refer to the attack as a "terrorist act." We maintain that there was a meaningful distinction in the use of the word that could have easily been dispelled and/or clarified tonight...it was not.

Anyone that saw and heard BHO's statement could easily see the use of the word "terror" was almost an afterthought. Otherwise, why rant on about the video for days ? Even to victim's families. Low down as it comes.

No Sir, I am not wrong. The words "Act of terror" were used and any analysis as to what the were referring to is quite pointless and worse, silly to an extreme. The word "attack" was used numerous times throughout the speech to describe the event.

"President Obama maintains that he called the attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi a "act of terror", which turns out to be accurate."

That says it all. What else is there to argue about? It was an act of terror and he said it.

"However, the legal term of "act of terrorism" is never used."

Who in the world defined that a "legal term" was to be used, in order to describe an act of terror?

Who writes this crap?

The rest has been bantered about for a frigging year, for all the good it has ever done.

As is always the case, you fail to address the simple fact that Intelligence Head, James Clapper, took full responsibility for the talking points offered by the White House in the first days following the events that teanspired in Banghazi, and Fox News reported it, until that is, that they decided to jump on the conspiracy bandwagon.

I'm arguing with an opposing choir. You folks are never going to entertain a minute's worth of doubt that there is and never was any conspiracy surrounding Benghazi, and that is your problem to deal with.

The truth and the FACTS are out there. All you have to do is to discover them for yourselves.

Posting links to the same old retired crap that has been spewed for a solid year is not going to prove a damn thing.

Generic words? Legal terms?

Republican witch hunters, still clutching at very thin pieces of straw, are making up their facts as they go along, and some of you are swallowing them hook, line, and sinker.

You are the ones who are never going to find satisfaction, resolvement of your issues, and admiration for so much as one Republican hero, who will bring any sense of justice for the deaths of those four men in Benghazi.

When are you people going to wise up and realize that the Republicans are utterly full of crap?
