Mr. Beck, you are a moron. the taser is a supplemental tool for the officers to have and to use so they do not have to pull the gun and shoot someone.

would you rather have the SRO's having the use the Glock in a bad situation? you need to get over the fact that you were not elected sheriff.

do we see bars giving out breathalyzer tests at the door to see who is drunk and who isnt? drinking and driving is illegal and it still goes on and it kills thousands of people every day.

east ridge is a joke. i used to work there and i am glad that i no longer am employed there. the ER counsel is scared of upsetting the soccer mom sterotypes and the retired people too.. that is all east ridge has. retired people and soccer moms.

Red Bank and Soddy Daisy welcomed the new law. both counsels there made the admission that this is a very dangerous world, and they know that the police response time is not instant. the sooner that the Chatt and ER counsels stop worrying about who might get mad, the better off they will be.

i am mad at nashville for allowing an opt out clause in a State Law. it should be just that. a LAW. dont like it? move.

he broke the law. he did not follow instructions given by police. he aimed a gun at police. aim a gun at me and see what happens. he failed to follow instructions and was shot in the process of the officers defending themselves. period. if your man enough to break the law, then you deserve what you get.

Kudos to Mrs. Shipley for allowing her employees to go legally armed for self defense. this is what America needs. i applaud her for her choice. my last employer also allowed legal carry while on the clock. if every business allowed this practice, there would be a dramatic drop in crime.

has there been any "blood in the streets" in the 19 states that have this same law? NO. stop crying about this topic and do some statistical research before printing a story.

a gun is a tool and a gun will act to whomever has posession of said tool. guns dont aim themselves and they certainly do not jump out of holsters at the local Chili's and start shooting.

remember, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
