Gee, I thought there would be some people at the Convention in Tampa. That is Tampa, isn't it? Newt promised he'd take his campaign all the way to Tampa. Hate to see the big Bloviator leave the stage.

The Dems have two great candidates: Bill Taylor and Mary Headrick. Bill Taylor is a CPA and businessman in the health care industry. Dr. Mary Headrick is a retired physician. Both know and are protective of Medicare and Medicaid. As opposed to Fleischmann who voted to kill and privatize it.

Mayfield said he doesn't have any differences than Fleischmann, so why run? So far, he hasn't given us a platform only stating he will tell us after he is assigned a committee in Congress. How arrogant and presumptive of the ice cream heir.

Kudos to Weston Wamp and his connections for releasing the devastating video. Mayfield ought to know his life is public now and speaking at a political forum, especially in front of college kids, is open for scrutiny. We all saw first hand he isn't prepared. He reminded me of George W. Bush, but worse... it was horrendous, in epic fashion.

Btw and off topic, what happened to the preview, link, italics, bold and block quote buttons? I would like to embed the video. Should I use basic html for this?

My Bible doesn't say tax cuts for millionaires in it, joneses. Wonder what Bible you have? I do have a Bible with proverbs, Matthew, Luke etc. in it. It says: Ye cannot serve both God and mammon .

Yeah, Timbo, if only we had more people like Mitt, who take good American manufacturing jobs and destroy them, while selling off the assets and depleting all the wealth from the company. Romney destroyed wealth except for his own. If you want more vulture capitalists, vote Romney.

Romney can't relate to the common American peon because of class differences. He needs to find something he feels passionately about so Americans know he isn't so plastic, that would be his Mormonism. He should run on this and try to convince us all to become members of LDS. Start talking about the Book of Mormon, Mitt.

This opinion piece on Mayfield was way too kind. The you tube was devastating. He looks like a bumbling fool, reminded me of George W. Bush, but worse.

Since he entered the race, everyone has wanted to know why he is running. He pointed out his positions are no different than Fleischmann's, but wouldn't share them. Next question for all: why run if you are identical to the incumbent?

In the video, he tells the students "I have a file in my file cabinet with a list of things to do"... that answer sounds like something Rick Perry would have said. These are college students, who are tech savvy and passionate about politics, for Mayfield to respond with this stupid and lame answer means he should stick to selling ice cream cones and brown cows.

So the GOP choice is this: Fleischmann - who refuses to go out in public and answer questions; Mayfield- who can't answer questions and is the same as Chuckie in platform; and, a 25 year old who is savvy enough to use his connections to do this magnificent hit piece. There are advantages to being young and Weston used it.

The Democratic side offers: Bill Taylor- a CPA (who could do Scottie's taxes for him) and a health care businessman. He understands Medicare and Medicaid and wants to protect it. Dr. Mary Headrick- a retired physician, who also knows Medicare and Medicaid. The needs of sick and elderly in this nation.

Vote Democratic.

Women are the caregivers in the family, not only for their children but most of the time for the elderly family members. Women rely on the safety net programs more than men, so cuts to Medicaid, school lunch programs, Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program, public transportation and Medicare, hurt women most.

The other problem Republicans have with women is intrusion into the most private matters: family planning. Women are confused why a political party which prides itself for no government interference for polluters and billionaires are so involved in gynecological matters. Is this the reason these Congressmen were elected? No wonder they are sinking. Obama is up 20 points with women. This is the same number as last month so it isn't a fluke.
